As a professional who frequently operates across multiple devices—coding on one computer, conducting research on another, and checking emails on a smartphone—I've encountered the recurring challenge of transferring text between these devices. While emailing myself snippets of text has been a common solution, it often proves to be cumbersome. A more efficient method involves simply copying text from one device and pasting it onto another.

With OmniCopy, the process becomes streamlined:

1. Copy the desired text.
2. Open the OmniCopy application; this will upload your clipboard content to Dropbox.
3. Access the copied text readily across all your devices, including PCs, smartphones, and tablets using OmniCopy.

The iPhone and iPad versions of OmniCopy refresh content upon startup and offer a pull-to-refresh option, ensuring minimal strain on mobile data plans. Meanwhile, the desktop applications refresh automatically. Currently, it is important to note that OmniCopy supports text content only in UTF-8 format.

In terms of security, OmniCopy leverages the Dropbox API to ensure all transmitted data remains encrypted. The application only accesses the designated "Apps/OmniCopy" folder within Dropbox. Should you choose to delete this folder, all associated access tokens will become invalidated.
